Reviews – Struggle Factor Scale & Swatches

Welcome back loves!!

I want to start a series of reviews on current products I love, new products I have been trying and everything in between.  In my mind, whenever I am experimenting with a new item or technique – I’m always judging it by how hard I struggle while applying my makeup LOL.  For example, winged liner is still a massive struggle for me!! Everytime I do it, not only does it take me FOREVER, but I also wind up having to touch up multiple times throughout the process.  Obviously practice makes perfect, so it is by no means as difficult as it once was, but still – the struggle is real!

Hence, the Struggle Factor was born!! Basically, it’s a rating of 1 to 5, with 1 being a breeze and 5 being struggle-city: population – ME!

Also, with all of the products I review I TRY to have swatches done.  I can’t say for sure that all of my reviews in the future will since I am really forgetful sometimes – but most will contain some type of quick little swatch.  Now with my concealer/foundation swatches, I always try to also include my standard foundation color next to the product samples just as a reference.  Computer screens all show colors differently and depending on the lighting of the image and the skin tone of the subject – I find the reference swatch just helps to put it into perspective since you can easily go to a foundation matching site to see the difference between my standard shade, your standard shade, and the product in question.

Hopefully you all will think this is a fun, slightly different take on your standard beauty/skincare reviews, but there’s always room for improvement.  So, if you have any questions about the product being reviewed, please comment on the post itself and I’ll get back to you in a jiffy!!
